Why do I need a Loss Assessor?
- When you have a loss or suffer damage that is covered by an insurance policy, a Loss Assessor is appointed by you to represent your interests when dealing with your insurance company.
- As Loss Assessors, our job is to make sure that following a loss, the ACTUAL costs of putting everything right again are fully met.
What is the difference between a Loss Assessor and a Loss Adjuster?
- A Loss Adjuster is appointed by your insurance company to minimise the amount paid out by them.
- As Loss Assessors we are appointed by you to represent ‘your’ interests. Our job is to explain the full scope of the costs involved and work to secure a realistic claim settlement, not just the minimum.
Why use a Loss Assessor?
- Appointing your own Loss Assessor means that the full extent of the damage and remedial work is taken into account when calculating your claim, whereas the Loss Adjuster appointed by the insurance company is working to pay the minimum they can get away with.
- The results of using a Loss Assessor in a successful claim are that the settlement you receive will be greater than the Adjuster offers to pay. Usually substantially larger and in some cases, could be up to 10x larger.
- You don’t have to deal with the stress of negotiating with the Insurance Company
